About a Bride Weddings & Events is excited to be in the Niagara region & Southern Ontario area. Visit our website often as we always have something new and exciting happening! To continue w/the expansion projects, About a Bride will also be offering a "Staging" aspect (either as part of a package or purchased individually). Here, I will have set up and prepare your locale/accommodations for the evening (wedding night, honeymoon night, special anniversary etc). All the excitement from the day's event, have no worries and allow me to set the ambiance. Different packages include catering/desserts, wine, entertainment, flowers, decorations and special touches. January 1, 2010 Exciting News! About a Bride will be expanding into two new avenues. The First: The company has always been called About a Bride Weddings and Events, but now there is emphasis on "events". This past winter, we launched this focus with a networking party, a tea party, a children's party, a holiday party and a charity event. So now, with the New Year comes many new celebrations for About a Bride to organize! May it be your birthday, your parent’s retirement party, a relative’s graduation party, an Open House or Fundraiser for your business or even your wedding anniversary! I want to make it special and make it stand out! So look for the "About My Life" Planning packages and info once the updates have been made to the website! The Second: About a Bride will now be designing bridal and "cas-fab" (casually fabulous) headpieces, barrettes and veils as well as purses. It's called the Shimmer & Tulle Line and you can purchase through the About a Bride boutique or via Etsy.com (coming soon). I'm currently designing and getting this ready for Spring and Summer brides so check back soon! With this, you will see some changes in the About a Bride main pages. We are looking forward to this and as always, to planning your special event!
November 2009 The Tulle Party, the first networking party of its kind in the Niagara region, was a success. Not only were the finest wedding and event professionals in attendance, but we got to experience amazing cuisine, extraordinary entertainment (Irish Step, Flamenco to Aerial Acrobats) and plenty of networking. The event was covered by two newspapers (links below). At the Tulle Party, you can taste hors d’oeuvres from a variety of Niagara’s finest caterers, have ice wine, enjoy a very unique entertainment show, win prizes, enjoy effective networking games and activities --- all while getting your business name out there! The Tulle Party is tradeshow-meets-cocktail party-meets-a great night out! No other event gives you such an opportunity to ignite your business rolodex! It’s definitely a first of its kind!
Tickets are $20 and there are many advertising opportunities available.

1. All guests will have their logo/business card image displayed in a slideshow (running throughout the night). Please send a PowerPoint Slide with what you would like to show. The deadline for this is Monday, October 19th.
2. There will be an Event Programme distributed at the event. If you would like to insert your business card image or logo, it is $5 and needs to be sent along with the PowerPoint Slide by Monday, October 19th.
3. If you are interested in donating a door prize, please let Ellen know. Special Offer:
The Bird Kingdom is offering free admission to view the aviary attraction after 6pm, but part of the attraction will be closed after 5pm due to the time of year and lack of staffing. But if you come prior to closing time (10am – 5pm), they are only charging $5 per person. Normal price is $16.95. I think this would be a great start to your evening — besides, from touring the attraction, you will have a ton of icebreakers in which to start approaching ppl: “hi, did you see the size of the macaw?” :) To receive the $5 rate, just show the Tulle Party invitation at admissions.

April 15, 2009 This past February, About a Bride launched its first contest...
Called the "About Our Story" contest, brides and grooms sent in their story and a panel of judges choose the most endearing story and proposal. It was a very hard decision, as there were many unique ways to propose - you grooms did Great! But the panel perserved and we choose a winner!
